    • We the People National Finals

Designed for high school students, the annual We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution National Finals competition tests students' knowledge and understanding of constitutional principles through simulated congressional hearings. Entire classes from every state compete at school district, congressional district, and state levels. The National Finals event is based on the acclaimed We the People curriculum that is available at the upper elementary, middle, and high school levels. The Center for Civic Education also conducts the We the People National Invitational competition, which offers middle and high school students the opportunity to compete against classes from across the nation as they demonstrate their knowledge of the Constitution. Both national finals events are held at George Mason University and in Washington, D.C.

Since its inception in 1987, more than 30 million students and 75,000 educators have participated in the We the People program.
