  • Adaptive Benchmark

The Continuum Adaptive Benchmark Assessments measure student mastery of complex concepts in English Language Arts and Mathematics at Grades K through 11 through an array of rigorous multiple-choice and technology-enhanced items and an algorithm that adjusts item difficulty to student performance within each testing administration. That means a student who correctly answers an item next will receive an item of increased difficulty. Similarly, a student who incorrectly answers an item next will receive an item of decreased difficulty. On it goes throughout the assessment, providing educators and administrators with a sound measure of a student’s true achievement level.

The Benchmark Assessments report along a continuous vertical scale, providing a reliable and consistent measure of student growth over time.
