Overview
The Batería III Woodcock-Muñoz Normative Update (Batería III NU) is the Spanish adaptation/translation of the Woodcock-Johnson III® (WJ III®). This assessment consists of cognitive and achievement batteries.
The Cognitive battery offers six major scales that yield a General Intellectual Ability (GIA) Score:
- Brief scale
- Standard scale
- Extended scale
- Early development scale
- Bilingual scale (w/ diagnostic supplement)
- Low verbal scale (w/ diagnostic supplement)
The Achievement battery includes:
- Five (5) tests of reading
- Four (4) tests of oral language
- Four (4) tests of mathematics
- Four (4) tests of written language
- Four (4) supplemental tests of academic language proficiency
- A Comparative Language Index (CLI) that determines language dominance
