  • What products were purchased by HMH®?

    HMH purchased the Educational Technology and Services division from Scholastic, which includes READ 180®, System 44®, iREAD, MATH 180®, Big Day for PreK, English 3D®, Common Core Code X®, Scholastic Reading Counts! (SRC), FASTT Math®, SRI, SMI, SPI and the products and services offered under the banners of Scholastic Achievement Partners (SAP), the International Center for Leadership in Education (ICLE), Tom Snyder Productions (TSP) and Math Solutions.   • What entity will our district's contracts be with?

    All contracts entered into after May 29, 2015, will be done in the name Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Publishing Company. If your district had an agreement with Scholastic Inc. for EdTech products and services, that agreement was assigned to HMH as part of the acquisition.   • Has all of Scholastic® been acquired by HMH? Should I replace Scholastic in my systems with HMH?

    No. All of Scholastic was not acquired. Only the Scholastic Education Technology and Services division was acquired by HMH. Scholastic remains an entity and may still be doing business with your district.

  • What is HMH's corporate name, address, and EIN (Tax ID)?

  • To what company should I issue a PO?

    Account administration and back office processes such as billing, invoicing, and shipping will still be provided by Scholastic during an interim period. During the interim period, POs should be issued to HMH, but sent to Scholastic. Scholastic Inc.

  • Why am I receiving an invoice from Scholastic?

    Account administration and back office processes such as billing, invoicing, and shipping will still be provided by Scholastic during an interim period, and invoices will be automatically generated with a Scholastic name and logo. We will notify you when these functions are moved to HMH. 

  • What if my district can't process an invoice for an HMH product until it has the HMH name and logo on it?

    If you need an invoice from HMH, please contact Read180CustServ@scholastic.com or call 877.234.7323.

  • Does my district pay Scholastic or HMH?

    While Scholastic is providing back office processing functions, checks and payments should still be made payable to Scholastic when possible. If payment cannot be made in the name of Scholastic, checks should be made payable to Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. Payment should still be sent to HMH c/o Scholastic at PO Box 3720, Jefferson City, MO 65102-3720. Please do not change your master data for HMH payments generally. Only payments for EdTech services and product should be sent to Scholastic.

  • Where do I send my payment?

    All payments, regardless of whether they are made out to Scholastic or Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, should be sent to:

  • My district received an invoice from Scholastic for an EdTech product or service. However, the quote came from HMH. To which entity should the check be made payable and where should I remit payment?

    While we transition the EdTech business processes over to HMH, Scholastic will continue to provide services related to invoicing and payment processing. Payments for EdTech products and services should be made payable to Scholastic and sent to the address reflected on the Scholastic invoice: PO Box 3720, Jefferson City, MO 65102-3720. If the payment needs to be made in the name of HMH so that the HMH name is used uniformly, it can be. Please do not change your master data for HMH payments generally. Only payments for purchases of HMH EdTech services and product should be sent to Scholastic.

  • What if my district needs the quote and invoice and payment to all be in the same name in order to process payment?

    If you require that the quote and invoice and payment match, they can all be done in HMH’s name. Please contact Read180CustServ@scholastic.com or call 877.234.7323 for an invoice from HMH. Payment should still be sent to HMH c/o Scholastic at PO Box 3720, Jefferson City, MO 65102-3720.

  • Do I send all payments for HMH product and services to Scholastic now?

    No. Please do not change your master data for HMH payments generally. Only payments for EdTech services and product should be sent to Scholastic.

  • During this transition period, do I need to create a separate vendor number for EdTech purchases using an HMH W-9?

    Please use the HMH tax ID 04-1456030.  If you require a W-9 from HMH please contact: Credit.Department@hmhco.com.

  • I received an invoice from Scholastic related to an EdTech product or service and have a question. Who should I contact?

    During the transition period, you should continue to contact Scholastic Customer Service regarding any questions related to invoices for EdTech products and services at 877.234.7323.

  • I need to obtain a copy of an invoice related to an EdTech product or service. Who should I contact?

    During the transition period, you should continue to contact Scholastic Customer Service to request a copy of an invoice for EdTech products and services at 877.234.7323.
