11th Grade Curriculum

Eleventh grade is the time for students to really start focusing on college and career with many even taking the SAT, ACT or other assessments during their junior year of high school. Grade 11 students will continue to increase text complexity, reading American literature, English literature (also called British Literature) and informational texts while improving cross discipline literacy in History/Social Studies and Science. Eleventh graders may continue Algebra I, Algebra II, or Geometry. Science usually covers Biology, Chemistry, or Physics. Social Studies may begin to cover United States History, world history, geography, European history, World Culture, or United States History, or psychology and government. World Language (also called Foreign Language) studies in French, Spanish, or German are also possible subjects in grade 11. Houghton Mifflin Harcourt invites you to explore the wealth of information about eleventh grade curriculum.
